pure::variants Transformers for Configuration Management

With the pure::vairants Transformers for Configuration Management, pure-systems provides the possibility to connect to various Software Configuration Management systems. The generic transformation extension allows to connect to any SCM that provides a command line client. In family models, the single source elements can be connected to the corresponding artefact in the SCM instead of referencing a file in the local file system. While the transformation process is running, the elements are checked out from the SCM to generate the concrete variant with only the resources that are necessary for the actual variant.

The pure::variants Transformer for CVS extends pure::variants by the capability to directly connect to artefacts stored in a CVS repository. The basic functionality is same as in the generic transformer extension but with a higher performance due to the use of CVS-specific features.

The pure::variants Transformer for Subversion extends pure::variants by the capability to directly connect to artefacts stored in a Subversion repository. The basic functionality is same as in the generic transformer extension but with a higher performance due to the use of Subversion-specific features.

The pure::variants Transformer for IBM Rational ClearCase extends pure::variants by the capability to directly connect to artefacts stored in a ClearCase repository. The basic functionality is same as in the generic transformer extension but with a higher performance due to the use of ClearCase-specific features.
